Teacher and Director of the “IL BALLETTO” Dance School
Teacher and Director of the “IL BALLETTO” Dance School, founded by her in 1983 in Castelfranco Veneto (TV), Italy, and director of “Il Balletto – GruppoJuniorVeneto”, pre-professional Dance Company of the school.
A Vaganova student by training, she then furthered her studies and became a professional dancer, a Psychology graduate, and started applying RAD and ISTD techniques to her teaching methods. She obtained the RAD Advanced Teaching Diploma and the ISTD Licentiate Ballet and is now tutor for both ISTD and RAD.
During her collaboration with RAD, she was invited to Riga to present the syllabus and to teach the students of the State Academy.
From 2015 to 2017 she took part to the Dance Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
She organises and delivers training courses for both students and teacher, in Italy and abroad.
She actively works in close collaboration with the most prestigious dance institutions, including: the London Royal Ballet School, the Munich Ballet Academy, the English National Ballet School, the Scala in Milan, the Boston Ballet School, the ABT/Onassis in New York, the TAZ in Zurich, the Basel Academy, the London Rambert, and many more…
Two of her students, Lorenzo Silingardi and Sara Barbieri, took part to the Prix de Lausanne in 2013 and 2014, respectively. She also enters many of the most important international competitions to give visibility and opportunities to her students. She was also given awards on multiple occasions for her work as a teacher and choreographer, both in Italy and abroad.
During the last 10 years, her school and her solo dancer have won the YAGP European semi-finals (in Italy, Paris, Brussels, Barcelona and Cattolica) and have taken part to the NY finals, placing in the top 12 of each category every time. They have also won the YAGP New York pas de deux final in 2008 (with Federico Veratti and Savina Bellotto) and in 2020 (with Michela Caprarulo and Riccardo Bruttomesso) and the YAGP Dance Europe Award in Paris.
In 2017, Emma Mardegan won the Royal Dance Competition in Beijing.
She participated to many ISTD Awards and the RAD Sara Acquarone competition, with the students collecting several awards.
Her ex students work in the most famous and prestigious theatres all around the world, including La Scala, the Opera di Roma, ENB, the Stuttgart Ballet, the Lubjana Opera, the Wien Opera, the Dresden Opera, the San Francisco Ballet, the Estonian Ballet, the Zagreb Opera, the Munich Opera, the Krakow Opera, the Belgrade Opera, the Seoul Universal Ballet, the Vladivostock Primorsky Ballet of Maryinsk, the St. Petersburg Michailovsky Theater, the Introdan in the Netherlands, The Metz Opera in France, the USA Tulsa Ballet, the Balletto del Sud in Lecce, the Balletto di Milano… and many of them are soloists and Principals.
With “Il balletto – GruppoJuniorVeneto” she has also been invited to St. Petersburg.
